Like every year, we are picking some of the previous year’s car shows and talking a little about them. Washington is filled with great shows of every sort. Classic car shows, tuner car shows, exotic car shows, Auto Shows and even a few Boat shows. With that being said picking one or two favorites out of the bunch was not an easy task, but here goes.

The two shows we have selected to talk about this year are both great shows, but for very different reasons. The first is the 5th Annual Classic Car & Wooden Boat Show of Des Moines, Washington, and the other is the Seattle Auto Show of as you probably already guessed, Seattle, Washington.

What is it that made these two shows so good, that is exactly what we are going to talk about. We will start with the 5th Annual Classic Car & Wooden Boat Show.

5th Annual Classic Car & Wooden Boat Show

Des Moines’s Classic Car & Wooden Boat Show was great because it had a little of everything. Plenty of classic cars (over 200 in total), over 30 wooden boats and even a few newer exotic vehicles.

This was a great event for spectators, first of all it was free to get in, in the this economy everyone apreciates that and it was right on the coast of Puget Sound. With all things weighed in, this show was a great show and a must for next year.

Seattle Auto Show

Kind of the exact opposite of the Classic Car & Wooden Boat Show as far as car shows, but definitely a great show. Instead of focusing on the classics and older cars, the Seattle Auto Show is all about the newbies. You might be thinking if I wanted to see a Toyota Camry I would have looked in my driveway, but the Seattle Auto Show is more than just a show to preview the new models, it is a show to preview the next year’s new technology.

Granted New technology may not be what you classic car lovers are looking for, but give the Seattle Auto Show a try, there is a reason it is the most searched car show in Washington.
